Epoch for this mechanism is fixed at J2000 ≈ 2000-01-01 (noon UTC). You can: (1) enter a calendar date, (2) jump the gears to that Δt, then (3) convert that Δt into GR, sidereal drift, and light-time. Reset brings the machine back to epoch with all clutches engaged.
